Designated Bus Stop Update

11/16/16 at 06:55 AM

The installation of Transpo's designated bus stops continues and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. During the installation phase, Transpo will continue to operate as flag-stop system which means passengers may flag the bus to board at any safe location along a designated route. Passengers are also welcome to start using the new designated stops at any time.

Once the installation of all routes is completed, there will be a 30-day window where Transpo will continue to operate with flag-stops; however, there will also be some incentives for passengers to start using the new designated stops so be sure to like SBTranspo on Facebook and follow @SBTranspo on Twitter for the details. The complete list of all stop locations will also be available.

Finally, there will be a date set to make the final switch to designated stops. There will also be some minor route adjustments due to the two-way streets that will be effective at the same time. Additional details will be available once that date is set.

We appreciate your patience during this transition time and look forward to bringing these and other service improvements to the South Bend and Mishawaka communities!
