New Day Pass & Dump the Pump Pass Sale - June 1st!
New Day Pass
Transpo's new Day Pass will be available starting June 1, 2015. The $3.00 Day Pass provides unlimited travel on Transpo's fixed routes during a single service day and replaces the two ride passes and transfers. Transpo's cash fare remains the same at $1.00.
The Day Pass will be availble for purchase at South Street Station, the Emil "Lucky" Reznik Administration, Maintenance and Operations Facility, located at 1401 S. Lafayette Blvd in South Bend, online at sbtranspo.com and through the fare box on board each Transpo fixed route bus (exact change required for fare box purchases). A single Day Pass will be good from the time it is first used or issued from the fare box until 11:59 p.m. on that service day. Transpo will continue to accept two ride passes through the end of 2015; however, transfers will no longer be available as of June 1.
Dump the Pump Pass Sale
Transpo's annual Dump the Pump Pass Sale will also return on Monday, June 1. Throughout the month of June, the new Day Pass will be "buy one, get one free" and riders who purchase a 31-day adult pass will receive two free Day Passes. The pass sale will run through June 30 and only applies to purchases made at South Street Station or the Administrative Offices.
Sponsored by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), Dump the Pump Day encourages people to ride public transportation instead of driving a car. Public transportation not only saves money, but helps make a community economically prosperous and competitive. Every $1 invested in public transportation generates approximately $4 in economic returns, powering community growth and revitalization.
