NOW HIRING: Human Resource Specialist

Transpo is accepting resumes for a full time Human Resource Specialist. This position is responsible for the following:

  • Obtain and maintain current knowledge of all federal, state, local laws and regulations applicable to employment and benefits
  • Government reporting (OSHA/EEOC/CES)
  • Ensure compliance of FMLA regulations and process Workers' Compensation claims
  • Administer and maintain the Drug & Alcohol Testing program
  • Process employee status changes, separations and unemployment claims
  • Maintain employee files
  • Assist with payroll related projects
  • Assist with open enrollment
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned

The position requires the following qualifications:

  • Minimum three years Human Resource experience
  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources or PHR certification
  • Experience working with unions and tracking grievances
  • Familiar with HRIS/Trapeze/WebRisk programs
  • Proficient in TruPay, Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette
