Transpo Names Safety, Security and Training Manager
March 21, 2014 - Transpo announced today that Mike Pancoast has been named to the newly created position of Safety, Security and Training Manager.
Pancoast joined Transpo in 2003 as an operator and was promoted to Operations Supervisor in 2012 where he was responsible for the maintenance of routes and time points, assisting operators with their day-to-day responsibilities and responding to roadside problems and customer service issues.
In his new role with Transpo, Pancoast will be responsible for the safety education, accident prevention, loss contrl and security along with environmental and regulatory compliance. His responsibilities also include promoting a safe and healthy work environment, recommending measures to reduce accidents and hazards and coordinating other related activities.
"Over his 10 years of employment with Transpo, Mike has show great dedication to safety, a commitment to operational excellence and leadership within our organization", said David Cangany, Transpo General Manager.
"This new position is part of the reorganization of the operations department to improve the way Transpo operates, develop a heightened safety culture across the organization and help us achieve new levels of success", continued Cangany.
Pancoat will be acting in dual roles until a replacement is found for the Operations Supervisor position.
