The South Bend Public Transportation Corporation is applying for a 2010 Capital Grant under Section 5307 of the Federal Transit Act of 1964, as amended. The Program of Projects is as follows:
(1) Preventive Maintenance $2,000,000
(2) Tire Lease $62,550
(3) Purchase/Upgrade Computer Software $30,000
(4) Passenger Facility Rehabilitation $271,773
(5) Education and Training $20,000
(6) Acquire Misc Support Equipment $68,750
(7) Purchase Shop Equipment $250,000
(8) Replace up to 5 paratransit vehicles $281,250
(9) Associated Capital $62,500
(10) Comprehensive Route Analysis $200,000
(Local Share of $649,355 and Federal Share of $2,597,418).
The 2010 Section 5307 Program of Projects and its descriptions are available for public comments or inspection at 901 East Northside Blvd., South Bend, Indiana 46617. The amounts are also in the Transportation Improvement Plan for the South Bend IN-MI Urbanized Area for FY 2010. An opportunity for public hearing is hereby given. If a public hearing is requested, it will be held August 09, 2010 at 4:00 PM.
The Program of Projects will become the Final Program of Projects unless amended.

The amounts are also in the Transportation Improvement Plan for the South Bend IN-MI Urbanized Area for FY 2010. An opportunity for public hearing is hereby given. DBE Program Policy Statement : Posted On: 04/29/09
The South Bend Public Transportation Corporation (TRANSPO) has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26. TRANSPO has received Federal financial assistance from the Department of Transportation, and as a condition of receiving this assistance, TRANSPO has signed an assurance that it will comply with 49 CFR Part 26.
